What is the Missouri SLCGP Grant?

The State and Local Cybersecurity Grant Program (SLCGP) is a federal initiative helping Missouri’s local governments, school districts, and public agencies strengthen cybersecurity defenses. The program is funded by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA).

Its goal is to provide resources, coordination, and financial assistance to protect the systems that keep Missouri running — from city services and county networks to school data systems and emergency response infrastructure.

Who Can Apply?

Eligibility for the Missouri SLCGP Grant includes public-sector entities delivering local or regional services:

  • Counties, cities, and towns — local government agencies of all sizes.
  • School districts & educational cooperatives — K-12 organizations managing student information and IT systems.
  • Special districts & public utilities — water, energy, transportation, emergency services, and similar public authorities.
  • Regional/multi-jurisdictional groups — collaborations among local governments addressing cybersecurity collectively.

Note: Private or nonprofit organizations may participate as partners within a project but are not eligible to apply directly as primary recipients.
